You probably know the traditional Feng Shui Bagua map which shows where different life areas are in a room or home. For example, it shows where the Money area is as well as Love & Marriage, Career, Health and so on.
Did you know there is also a Bagua Map for each specific member of your family you live with, in addition to all other types of things such as: seasons, time of day, body parts, emotions and more. Knowing which part of a room corresponds to which family member can help improve this individual’s energy and their relationship to others in your home.
The different family members and where to find them in a room/on the Bagua map and what to do in each area is described below.
Youngest Son
Your youngest son is related to the Skills & Knowledge area or the left 1/3 of a room closest to the door. If you are having issues with your youngest son you want to add the earth element in this area. Examples of the earth element include oranges, browns, tans, square-shaped objects and items made from earth or reminiscent of it such as pottery, stones, ceramic, concrete, brick, photos of mountains, etc.
It is also good to add a) pictures of your youngest son doing things you want to honor about him b) pictures of your youngest son doing things he is proud of c) any other positive reminders of your youngest son d) symbols of anything you hope for him and/or he hopes for himself. Oldest Son
Your oldest son is associated the Family area or the middle left of a room as you are standing in the doorway, facing into it. If you are having issues with your oldest son you want to add the wood element in this area. Examples of the wood element include the color green, column-shaped objects, items made from wood or reminiscent of it such small trees, textiles, paper, photos/art/sculptures of trees, etc.
It is also good to add a) pictures of your oldest son doing things you honor about him b) pictures of your oldest son doing things he is proud of c) any other positive reminders of your oldest son d) symbols of anything you hope for him and/or what he hopes for himself. P.s. The Goji Tarocco Orange candle and the Frazier Fir candle are the two best smelling candles I have ever experienced – ever. The Gofi Tarocco Orange smells as if you are in an orange grove at a spa in the rainforest in a tropical place where life wouldn’t even think of being anything but perfect. Look at the right side of the room and mentally divide it into three equal-sized areas. The area on the right closest to you while standing in the doorway is the Helpful People & Travel area. If you are having issues with this individual add the metal element. Examples of the metal element include actual metal, circular-shapes, white and/or pastel colors.
It is also good to add a) pictures of him doing things you want to honor the most in him b) pictures of him doing things he is proud of c) any other positive reminders of him d) symbols of anything you hope for him and/or he hopes for himself. Mentally divide the area of the room, along the wall where you are standing, into three equal-sized spaces. The middle area is the Career area. If you are having issues with your middle son you want to add the water element. The water element features include actual water (think fish tank, fountain), pictures or symbols or water, mirror(s), black and/or blue and undulating shapes.
It is also good to add a) pictures of your middle son doing things you want to honor the most in him b) pictures of your middle son doing things he is proud of c) any other positive reminders of your middle son d) symbols of anything you hope for him and/or he hopes for himself. Remember this is not an area to manipulate him into doing what you want – this is an area to honor and support him in what is best for his present and future.

But what if you only have one child, two daughters/sons or twins?
- If you have an only child, use the area related to the oldest son or daughter
- If you have twins, use the respective area for who was born first and then second
- If you have two daughters or two sons, use the oldest daughter/son and youngest daughter/son areas
- If you have two middle sons or daughters, Feng Shui the middle son or daughter area for both of them.
- If you want to improve relationships with people who do not live with you, work on the Family area or Living Room of your home.
