The Feng Shui Bagua mirror (aka Pa Kua mirror) is shaped as an octagon and is usually yellow, red or green with a convex (pointing outwards), concave (pointing inwards) or a flat circular mirror in the middle of it. Most are between four to six inches and are made wood of metal. There are different uses for these mirrors depending on your situation.
Protect Your Home from Negative Energy with a Convex Feng Shui Bagua Mirror (Most Aggressive)
The Convex (points outward) Feng Shui Bagua mirror is used to protect the home from what is considered to be “extreme” negative energy. Examples of this type of energy include, when a home faces a cemetery, a hospital, a prison, a very negative neighbor etc.
Many people caution against using these without considerable thought as they are thought to bounce the energy back and forth between the undesirable area and your home. This bouncing effect is sometimes thought to worsen the problems. Some Feng Shui experts say these should only be used in “dire” circumstances. See Convex Feng Shui Mirrors
Absorb and Neutralize Negative Energy with a Concave Feng Shui Bagua Mirror
The concave Feng Shui Bagua mirror is used to absorb and neutralize negative energy. Examples of the types of negative energy it absorbs it absorbs includes energy from a road (this can be especially true if your house is at the end of a ‘T’), if your house faces a large tree, sharp objects pointed at the house, a sharp roof life pointed at your house, some kind of infrastructure such as cell phone towers or large power lines near your home, etc.
The Concave Feng Shui Mirror is considered less aggressive than the Convex mirror because it absorbs negative energy before it can enter your home, but it doesn’t perpetually bounce it between your house and the offending energy. See Concave Feng Shui Mirrors
Deflect Negative Energy without Absorbing it with a Flat Feng Shui Bagua (Least Aggressive)
A flat Feng Shui Bagua mirror is used to keep negative energy away from your home. This is considered the least aggressive type of Feng Shui Bagua mirror. If you are unsure of which to get, this is your best option. See Flat Feng Shui Bagua Mirrors
How to Hang Feng Shui Bagua Mirrors
They should be placed with the “mirror” portion facing the offensive energy.
P.s.
You should clean your Feng Shui mirrors from time to time.
